Over 2,000 girls attended the Her Moves SHINE Festival at SETU Arena this week — an incredible celebration of sport, fun, and participation! 
TTStars were proud to collaborate with Women in Sport (WIS) and Table Tennis Ireland (TTI) to showcase table tennis in a fun, engaging, and inclusive environment. The energy and excitement from everyone who took part were fantastic to see! 
A brilliant event highlighting how sport can inspire confidence, connection, friendship and fun.

2nd Munster Ranking Tourament – 2025/2026 Season
TTStars Waterford hosted the second Munster Ranking Tournament on Sunday, and the club delivered an outstanding set of results across all age groups.
A sincere thank you to everyone who helped us run the event — and a massive thank you to Waterford Sports Partnership (WSP) for their continued support of our programmes and activities. Your backing is always appreciated.
It was a long day, but a major success for the club, with great matches, strong performances, and brilliant support throughout.

TTStars Schools Programme – Community Outreach Update
This week we completed another two successful days of our Schools Programme, with visits to schools in Tramore on Tuesday and Waterford City on Wednesday.
A special thank you to Conn Higgins, Munster Club Development Officer, for delivering high-quality sessions across all schools and thanks to WSP for their support.
We would also like to express our sincere thanks to Emma, Matthew, and Igor for supporting the programme and representing TTStars throughout the visits.
These school engagements are an important part of introducing young people to table tennis, promoting active participation, and building strong links within our local community.
Well done to everyone involved, and thank you for your continued support.
3nd Munster Ranking Tourament – 2025/2026 Season
TTStars performance at yesterday’s ranking tournament
A very strong day for TTStars at yesterday’s ranking tournament, coming away with four wins across the main categories 
Igor once again set the benchmark, winning both the Senior Men’s and Veterans events Ronan continued his excellent form with another title in the Under-19s 
while Lucas claimed his first tournament victory by winning the Para competition 
Martin added to the success with a strong 3rd-place finish in Senior Men and Lachlan produced an excellent performance to finish 2nd in the Under-11s Oliver and Olex both played very well throughout the day.
Congratulations also to Bernie and Catherine from Waterford TTC on their performances 
Christmas Club Session – 19/12/2025
What a brilliant Christmas night in our new hall at Kingfisher!
Great games, plenty of laughter, and a fantastic atmosphere throughout the evening made it a really special night.
Congratulations to our doubles competition winners, Olex and Sylwia, and well done to everyone who took part

Munster Performance / Invitational Camp – 4/1/2026
A big well done to our juniors who took part in the Munster Performance / Invitational Camp today with Conn Higgins
Congratulations to Ronan, Oliver, Matthew, Martin, Lachlan, and Al’vina, who were all invited as part of the wider Munster selection. While this is not a final Munster team selection, it is a great recognition of their performances, commitment, and hard work in training.
This is exactly the kind of opportunity that comes from consistent effort and dedication. Keep it going, stay focused, and the results will continue to come. 
First Night in Kingfisher Hall – 10/1/2026
What a fantastic night in our new hall in Kingfisher! The turnout was brilliant, the atmosphere was electric, and there was a real buzz around the hall all evening. Great skills on display, competitive games, plenty of laughs, and a great sense of community throughout the night.
A very warm welcome to all our new members — it is great to have you with us, and we hope you enjoyed your first sessions with the club.
Thank you to everyone who came down and helped make the night so enjoyable. Nights like this really show what our club is about — great table tennis, great people, and a great club.
We have plenty of exciting plans coming up this year, so stay tuned. Keep training, keep improving, and most importantly, keep enjoying your table tennis.

Great Bank Holiday session!
Brilliant afternoon session this Bank Holiday Monday – a full hall, great turnout, and plenty of quality games across all tables.
Fantastic to see juniors and seniors all getting stuck in, lots of rallies, good energy, and a really positive atmosphere throughout the session.

The 4th Munster Ranking Tournament takes place on Sunday, 22nd February at Kingfisher Hall, Waterford, bringing players from across Munster together for a full day of table tennis.
Players, families and spectators are all welcome to attend and enjoy the action throughout the day.

Big shout-out to Igor and Stuart for flying the TTStars flag at the Masters Ulster Open
Igor had a superb day — 2nd in Over 40s and winner of Over 50s
Stuart also put in a great performance, finishing 2nd in the Plate (Over 40s).

CARA Group in the Kingfisher Hall – 13/02/2026
We were delighted to host the CARA group from the National Learning Network (NLN) in Kingfisher Hall on Wednesday.
It was a fantastic, positive session and a great example of what table tennis can offer — fun, participation, and sport for all abilities. At TTStars Waterford we are proud to continue building inclusive opportunities within our community.

What a fantastic day for TTStars Waterford at our home Munster Ranking Tournament in Kingfisher Hall. 
Special congratulations to our double champions — Igor Chamilla and Martin Burke, who each captured two titles on the day. Outstanding performances and a huge credit to the club.

Well done also to Lucas Walsh and Yonny Kekov on reaching their plate finals. It was also great to see strong participation from across Waterford, with Kieran Everett (Veterans Plate runner-up) and Dan Jensen (Para runner-up) representing Waterford TTC with excellent performances. A huge well done to everyone who competed — we had our highest ever number of club entries, which is fantastic to see. This is exactly what drives the club forward: players stepping up, testing themselves in competition and gaining valuable match experience.
Finally, a massive thank you to all members, parents and volunteers who helped deliver our biggest event of the season in Kingfisher Hall. A real club effort.

Women in Sport Programme
We are delighted to launch our Women in Sport programme this week as part of Women in Sport Week, in partnership with Waterford Sports Partnership.
For the next four weeks we will be running a special programme aimed at encouraging women aged 50+ to get active, try table tennis, and enjoy the social side of the sport.
As a result, there will be a slight adjustment to our regular Friday evening schedule: 6:00 – 7:30 pm
Women in Sport Programme + Open Play 7:30 – 9:00 pm
Structured Training Session + Open Play
We are also delighted to welcome Jing Yi Graham, Women in Sport Ambassador and National Coach with Table Tennis Ireland, who will lead the opening session this evening in Kingfisher Hall.
We’re really looking forward to launching this programme and welcoming new participants to the club.
Woman In Sport – 6/04/2026
We were delighted to launch our Women in Sport table tennis programme on Friday evening in Kingfisher Hall, in partnership with Waterford Sports Partnership.
It was fantastic to see such a great turnout for the first session of this four-week programme, giving participants the opportunity to get active, try table tennis, and enjoy the social side of the sport.
A special thank you to Jing Yi Graham, Women in Sport Ambassador and National Coach with Table Tennis Ireland, for leading the opening session and supporting the launch of the programme.
We’re really looking forward to the next few weeks and continuing to grow women’s participation in table tennis in Waterford.
